The Appelfinch (Coccothraustes coccothraustes) is a beautiful, large songbird from the finch family (Fringillidae). and can be recognized by its typical call, its typical build, the white wing patches and the white terminal band on its tail.
You can see them regularly in parts of Europe and Asia and it lives mainly in mixed deciduous forests and likes to sit in the upper tree layers. It seeks higher ground and then likes to let its song be heard.
